Ingredients:
3 cups milk
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
12 oz ground pork sausage
2 3/4 cups biscuit mix
3/4 cup milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450°F
While oven is preheating, brown sausage in skillet, stirring and breaking up until cooked through; drain, set a side and keep warm.
Whisk together the 3 cups milk, flour, salt and pepper, until flour is dissolved completely.
Pour into a separate skillet.
Simmer, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes.
After about 10 minutes, stir sausage into gravy and cook for remaining 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Mix biscuit mix with remaining 3/4 cup milk in bowl until soft dough forms.
Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2-1/2 cutter; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden browned.
Ladle hot sausage gravy over split biscuits.

Tried this recipe today. It was very good. I added a little sage, pepper and a tbsp of brown sugar to the ground sausage before cooking it. It gives it a little more of a breakfast sausage flavor.
