You have two options.

My Email will not work with DSL :

Open Outlook, Outlook Express or WinMail Email program.

Select "tools" - "accounts".

Highlight account name ----- Select Properties or edit account .

Under the Servers Tab, Change outgoing mail (SMTP) to host184.hostmonster.com.

Under Advanced Tab Change outgoing mail (SMTP) to port 465 and then click on
This server requires a secure connection (SSL). This MUST be switched on.
-
This will now bypass your ISP's SMTP mail server and use our own secured cardilla.com server.

How do I get a photo album:

Select the "
Register" link at the top of the photo gallery page and fill out the form.

You will receive an email when your account is set-up.

How do I add a photo to my album:

Login into your account, then select the "Add Items" link in the left menu.
-
Browse your hard drive to locate the photo(s) you want to upload. One photo for each "Browse button".

Add a caption to the photo if you wish, then scroll down the page and click "Add Items".

The thumbnail photo has the top cut off:

Login into your account.
-
Select the photo you want to edit, and select edit photo from the drop down menu.
-
Select "Crop Thumbnail" tab and then set the "Aspect Ratio" to the setting that works best for the photo.

Move the crop frame around to select the portion of the photo you want to crop. Click Crop button.

No thumbnail photo after I upload my picture:

More than likely the original photo size was too large. Size down your image before uploading.

Try to keep you photos no larger then 640 pixels.

To view your family tree:

Simply go to the family tree login page and enter the UserID and Password.
-
For viewing only use: UserID = member and Password = guest.
-
This will allow you to move around the tree to view all information about all branches.

To edit your family tree information:

Go to the family tree login page and enter your UserID and personal password.
-
Find the branch of the person you want to edit, under the name of the person select "Edit This Record".

Change the information in the form and click the "Save Information" button.

Please be very careful and considerate of others and don't change any info. that you are not 100% sure of.

How do I Add or Remove a portrait in the family tree?
-
First things First: Make sure ALL pictures to be uploaded are NO LARGER than 200 wide X 250 high.

Go to family tree login page and Log In.
-
To add (upload) a picture go to the page of the person you want to add a picture of and click on the portrait frame.

Using the "Browse" button, find the picture on your computer and select it in the browse form. Click "Submit"
-
To remove a picture, again go to the persons page and click on the portrait.
-
In the "Browse" form type in "None" and select "Submit". This should remove the existing pic.
-
WARNING: If the picture you upload is too big please remove it, crop it down with your graphics program to about 200 x 250 or smaller, and upload the smaller one again. Thank You.

NOTICE: If you don't and I find it, I will remove it permanently. :-) Have a nice day!
