Cardilla.com Email Settings

 

Changing your email account settings in Windows Outlook, Outlook Express and WinMail.

1. Open your email client then select "tools", then "account."
2. Select the account you want to change/edit.
3. Select properties or change. You should see 5 tabs in a small window. Under the "Server" tab you will find your server choices.
4. You should also check your port settings under the "Advanced" tab. Make sure they match the settings below.

 

Mail Server Username:   Your email address. ie: ben@cardilla.com

Incoming Mail Server (POP):   mail.cardilla.com - Recommended
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):   mail.cardilla.com - Recommended

  • Check the box that says "server requires authentication"

Supported Mail Protocols:

  • POP3:   port 110 - Recommended

Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols:

  • SMTP:   port 26 - Recommended

NOTE: If you have DSL and can receive email but can not send, try this:

1) Change your SMTP server name to:
"host184.hostmonster.com"   instead of   "mail.cardilla.com."

2) Change your outgoing (SMTP) port to 465. Make sure you select the "SSL Required" box under the port selection.

 

Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL)   host184.hostmonster.com
